Introducing our "Charity of the Month" Program!

The Kiwanis Club of Coeur d'Alene is happy to tell you know about our brand new "Charity of the Month" program!

As community volunteers ourselves, and many of us active in other non-profits that serve the Coeur d'Alene community, we know that it takes more than finances to help with the day-to-day operations of running a non-profit. For this reason, starting January 2011, our Board of Directors will be selecting one service organization to help with everyday needs.

Club members will be assisting with the practical needs of running an office or other basic needs to help the chosen organization serve their clients. Items such as: office supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, personal hygiene items, baby supplies, etc.

At the beginning of each month the Kiwanis Club of Coeur d'Alene will request a list from the chosen non-profit listing out items that they need frequently. Club members will then compile items on this list the entire month and present them to the chosen organization the last Wednesday of each month.

January's charity of the month will be Family Promise of North Idaho. Following is a list of items Family Promise of North Idaho is needing:

  • Diapers all sizes
  • wipes
