Monday, January 4, 2010 at 3:09PM
Ashley Eachon is a senior at Lake City High School, one of eighteen students working toward Lake City High School’s International Baccalaureate Diploma. She has maintained a cumulative grade point of 4.2 while taking her school’s most advanced classes. Ashley’s academic efforts have been acknowledged through her being selected as an Idaho Top Scholar, a member of National Honor Society, and she has received a LCHS academic letter.
Active throughout high school, Ashley has been on the varsity cross-country team since her freshman year. She has also been a member of the varsity golf team all four years. Ashley has been an active volunteer at Lake City and in the community as a Pathfinder mentor (helping new freshman transition to the high school setting), a Trail Creek counselor,(to our district’s sixth graders), and participating in the “Pay-it-Forward” project (helping out in other communities within the northwest volunteering in various capacities). Receiving the Pathfinder Outstanding Performance Award and The Idaho High School Activities Association Participant’s Award, attest to Ashley’s dedication and her desire to be of service to others. Working part-time and being active in her church round out her list of many activities.
Ashley’s plans include attending college to pursue a degree in nutritional science and/or clinical nutrition and finishing a degree at the graduate level. She also has an interest in marine biology.
The Kiwanis Club of Coeur d'Alene is proud of Ashley and her many, many accomplishments. We wish you the best in your future endeavors, we know you'll go far!
